An optional Thermocouple is available to monitor the flare flame (1/2” NPT connection, 16-18 gauge type K thermocouple wire).
The Thermocouple is monitored with a preprogrammed Data Logger and will measure and record the thermocouple temperature reading every minute for up to three years. Operators can down load that data to a PC using the supplied charting software.
The TVF as well as the DSI-50 are not designed to handle particulates in the flare gas stream including condensate, drilling mud, liquid hydrocarbons, contaminated water, etc.
Equipment is available to remove these particulates from the flare gas stream and should be considered if liquids and/or solid materials are expected.
DBI’s Tank Vapor Flare System (TVF) is designed to flare low flow gas streams (less than 150 Scfm) typical of small tank battery facilities. Complete with a Solar Powered DSI-50 Direct Spark Ignitor the system is able to offer reliable ignition in areas where fuel gas and commercial power are not available.
The TVF System is designed to be bolted to a 2” x 150# flange mounted on a vertical vent/flare pipe.
We strongly recommend the use of a flame arrestor with this equipment. DBI has these in stock for immediate shipment.
