D.B.I.'s Model 70 Flare Ignition System provides flare operators with rugged and reliable flare ignition for portable and permanent flares up to 50' in height. The Model 70 Flare Ignition System comes complete with two components; a ground based naturally aspirated flame front generator and a P4 Flare Pilot. The naturally aspirated flame front generator located at the base of the flare and is operated manually providing the flame front for ignition of the P4 Flare Pilot. Driven by 12 VDC from a battery, or solar charged battery, all of the electrical components are at ground level for easy maintenance. The P4 Flare Pilot mounted at the flare tip provides operators with a standing flame for ignition capable of withstanding high winds and heavy rain. Thermocouple systems are available for this equipment if required.
